“Drunk” Orzo


  • 400γρ Orzo
  • 800γρ Shrimp
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2/3 water glass of olive oil
  • tomato juice
  • 2 ouzo shots


Boil the shrimp for 2 minutes, strain and keep the boiled water. Peel the shrimp, put them in a saucepan with chopped onion, garlic and olive oil. Once they are sautéed, quench them with ouzo.

After 5 minutes, add tomato juice and 3 glasses of water which we kept at the beginning. Add the barley, add salt, pepper, mix with a wooden spoon and place in a pyrex.

Then put it in the oven at 180 C for 25 ‘in the air.
